Just how do you get your prospects to accept your ideas, join your company, or try your products? Read this MLM training article and learn the basics of presenting so that your prospects will join your company and try your product or service.
The definition of present is to bring before the public. The word present comes to us from Latin, which means to show.
That's the dictionary definition, but what is presenting as it relates to your MLM business? Presenting at its very core is taking a concept or idea that is in your head and conveying it to another person or persons so that they adopt the same or similar view on that concept or idea.
Let me give you an example or two. I would like you to picture a tennis ball. It's bright green in color and fuzzy. It bounces if you throw it on the ground or against the wall. Do you get a picture of this tennis ball? Good - that's presentation. If I put a thought into your head and cause you to think about it, that's presentation.
If I took a picture of
a tennis ball and showed it to you - that's presentation. So now when you're walking through an airport or driving down the highway and see pictures of things, you know that all of these pictures are presentations.
If I handed you a tennis ball and said, "Here hold this," that's also presentation. When I go to the grocery store on a Saturday morning, there are people who will give me a cracker with some kind of spread on it and ask me to taste it. That is presentation.
Now, presentation is not limited to physical things. I could present to you my views on the subject of integrity - that's not a physical object. It's just a thought in my head that I convey to yours.
Here's the key MLM training point you need to understand: A presenter's aim or intention is to get the person they're presenting to, to agree and adopt the same view or a similar view. This is true whether you're presenting to your employer, your mother, your spouse or your dog!
This is also true throughout any medium. Meaning, whether you're presenting by speech or by written words it's still the same concept, you desire another or others to adopt your same view.
So don't think for a second that the media is "reporting" the news. They're "presenting" the news - in the way they want people to view it.
So presentation means "to show It is conveying an item in your head to another. And this is an important MLM training tip to remember - otherwise you could be presenting incorrectly and prospects won't understand what you are trying to convey.

Owning and operating a work from home based business has many advantages, but working in an office with others has the social aspect that a home business lacks. This social aspect is a double-edged sword; most home business owners chose to work from home based on office politics or the independence that comes from being their own boss. However, like it or not, co-workers, colleagues, and supervisors provided you with companionship at your old job.
How can you fight the feeling of isolation when your home office is quiet and you have been working alone for hours on end? The key is to feel as though you are part of society while not being distracted. There should be a balance between interruptions and total solitude. There are a few ways that you can feel as though you are not alone while still remaining productive.
Turn On the Radio or Television
Depending on your level of distraction, you could turn on the radio or television to keep you company. Light music works wonders, and some people find that having background noise from the radio or television helps to cure loneliness.
Take the Dog (or Cat) to Work
The family dog or cat will definitely keep you company. Dogs are great companions, because you can take them out for a walk with you to get some fresh air. Cats are perfect, because they are usually not distracting and need little attention to be content. If you do not have a pet, it may be a good time to consider getting one, simply for the companionship that they provide.
Arrange Business Lunches
Arranging business lunches with clients and colleagues is a great way to network, build relationships, and socialize. Pleasant afternoon coffee outings and lunches with clients will also lead to quality word of mouth advertising. Many professional associations, including local Chambers of Commerce, have weekly or monthly business lunches. These are wonderful resources for you business.
Join an Online Home Business Forum
There are forums online where home based business owners from around the world gather to socialize and share ideas. These are a wonderful way to interact with others with little pressure to keep up a long conversation. However, beware of the vacuum of the Internet, hours can seem like minutes. Online communities are huge distractions for many people; yet when visited in moderation, they are an excellent source of human interaction.
Pick Up the Phone for Human Contact
You can plan a predetermined amount of time in your day for personal calls with friends and family. These calls will help you to feel as though you are still part of society even though you are working from home. Friends and family will usually be supportive and help you to remain positive during tough times. It is important to set a time limit; otherwise you may find time slipping away from your business matters.
Remember: You Are Not Alone
Every home based business owner has the occasional day when they feel isolated or lonely, because they miss daily interaction with co-workers. However, it is important to remember that you are not alone. There are thousands of people, working in their work from home based businesses who also feel isolated from time to time. Focus on your work, maintain a healthy lifestyle away from the home office, and you will feel much better during your busy day.

Home based businesses are expanding and many business owners are enjoying making their own money. Profits are the reason that all people go into business. The American dream is to make as much money as possible. A business owner that is not making money is losing money and time. The basis for making profits is to have accurate pricing. Accurate pricing needs to cover your business costs, giving you a reasonable return and be attractive enough to attract customers. Pricing can make or break your business.
Pricing for their time and expertise causes many new business owners trouble. Some new business owners will work cheaply because it is a job they can finish quickly while waiting for a job that they really want. This is fine when starting out and you want others to learn about your company. The down side of this is that they will associate your business name with the word cheap. No business owner wants to be known as this if he plans to be in business for some time.
Another attitude taken by some business owners is that they should only work for outrageous wages. These owners have a set price and will not take any job that does not pay them this price. This attitude causes their business start up to be much slower than others. The one advantage of this style of work is that it helps build a firmer foundation when the business is established.
There are some basic principles to use when beginning your own home business. You always need to remember that all your company costs have to be covered by your pricing. If you lower your costs, you can lower your pricing. Make sure to include the surrounding environment when pricing a job. Your pricing needs to be in a comfortable zone for your customers. Be sure to include your time, investments and risks while considering your pricing.
Pricing needs to include your direct costs, overhead and labor expenses. Direct costs are the costs of your parts, supplies and materials. Overhead expenses include rent, taxes, office supplies, insurance and utilities. The labor costs are the salary and benefit expenses for your staff. You should calculate labor cost with a simple formula, hours multiplied by wage then add in a percentage for fringe benefits. Many business owners use a profit margin of 15 to 20 percent. This profit margin is what you will use to expand your business.
At some point you will want to increase your profits. This is usually done by raising your prices. A quick evaluation of your company will allow you to see if you have some latitude to raise your prices. You can also research your competitors or do a competitive analysis on them. A competitive analysis is legal and can be accomplished by reading their advertisements, talking to suppliers or employ mystery shoppers. This analysis will show if you will have an advantage over your competitors.
All business owners are concerned about profits and pricing. Profits and pricing can be raised and lowered as needed or desired. Time and experience are the best ways to teach you about pricing and profit and what works best for you.
